Good Week

Last week was a busy one, but a really good one!!  It began with a construction company removing some trees out on the corner of our property for a reclaimed water pipeline that is going on, at the road in front of our property. The positive of this is it helps with a portion of the jungle we need to deal with on our property.  After they are done with this road project we can keep the area clear and redo the landscape with what we'd like to see there.

The dense plants and trees behind the oak is where the clearing is being done

You can see daylight now through the trees as the tractor takes down a 100 ft pine, several saw palmettos and other small trees and shrubs that had been tightly packed into this corner of our property

The cleared area looks a bit desolate right now

It poured down rain on Tuesday and I got busy preparing foods for my meals on Wednesday and Thursday.  Then on Wednesday the Bartlinski Family joined us for lunch and a wonderful visit.  The girls always love their time together and we love talking and catching up with Ed and Ann.  After a nice day of games, toys, giggles and lots of laughter we had to bid them farewell until the next time we have an opportunity to visit.

Bea and Bear LOVED all the extra attention

On Thursday, Thanksgiving we were joined in the later afternoon for dinner by Grandma and Poppie. After eating dinner and before dessert, it's been our habit to put up the outdoor Christmas lights to burn off some of our meal and get the task done as we move officially into the Christmas season.

Break to check out the Model A truck

It was a wonderful week, and now the house is in full Christmas decorating mode. I will post these photos later.
